Get ready because the 2025 Ford Expedition Max Platinum isnt just an SUV its a rolling command center for adventure, luxury, and sheer presence on the road.

    A GIANT WITH PURPOSE

This thing doesnt just arrive it dominates. The MAX means nearly a foot of extra length, giving you cavernous cargo space and room for your entire crew (and everything they bring along). Road trip? Tailgate? Cross-country haul? It eats those for breakfast.

    FIRST-CLASS LUXURY ON WHEELS

Slide inside and it feels less like a vehicle more like a private jet lounge:

Plush leather-trimmed seating in the first and second rows
Heated and ventilated captains chairs (yes, both because why choose?)
Power-folding seats that transform the cabin like magic

Every inch whispers premium, but with a bold, rugged edge.

    A FUTURISTIC COMMAND CENTER

Front and center is a jaw-dropping 24-inch panoramic display paired with a 13.2-inch touchscreen. Its not just tech its an experience:

Navigation, media, and vehicle data flow seamlessly
Customizable layouts put everything right where you want it
Crisp visuals make it feel like youre piloting something out of the future

Ford calls it the Digital Experience and it absolutely lives up to the name.

    POWER THAT MOVES MOUNTAINS

Under the hood? A twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that can unleash up to 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque in its high-output form.

    Translation:

    Massive SUV surprisingly quick
Tows up to 9,600 lbs (boats, trailers, you name it)
Confident, smooth power whether youre cruising highways or hauling gear
BUILT FOR REAL LIFE (AND BIG LIFE)

This isnt just about luxury its about capability:

Intelligent 4WD with multiple drive modes
Advanced suspension for a smooth ride over rough terrain
Smart towing tech that takes the stress out of heavy hauling

Its equally at home in a luxury valet line or kicking up dust on a backroad.

    DESIGN THAT MAKES A STATEMENT

From power-deployable running boards to signature lighting and bold styling, the Platinum trim doesnt whisper it announces itself. Its polished, muscular, and unmistakably premium.

    THE VIBE

The 2025 Expedition Max Platinum is for people who want:

    Space without compromise
    Luxury without fragility
    Power without apology

Its not just transportation its a mobile HQ for your life, whether that means family road trips, weekend escapes, or showing up in serious style.

    Peace of mind

Best Large SUV on the Market!

      by MM-eTech on Wednesday, June 23, 2021

I got the 2018 Platinum edition 4WD, loaded with every option. THE GOOD: Drives well for the size, excellent acceleration (coming from 3 BMW X5 V8s!), good visibility and plenty of space in all 3 rows (Largest interior compared to any SUV on the market). Excellent build quality (interior). Towed large trailers and boats without any issues. Used for construction work and long trips with kids. THE BAD: Items fixed under warranty: SYNC-3 APIM Unit, Engine timing belt plastic guides and faulty Rear Seatbelt Airbag. THE UGLY: I never liked the look of the rear end. Need Improvements: GPS screen (new 2022 is going with 15.5”). Awful rear entertainment screen, limited functionality, they should be larger and touch screen, it can use more aggressive Brakes. For this price range ($85K), they should add HUD and auto brake; more automated self driving will be nice. Overall, I have been pleased with this car and looking forward to get the updated 2022 model.

      Satisfied New Owner

by ZooDog on Saturday, May 05, 2018

We have a 2018 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD that we have owned for about six weeks now. (It was a dealer demo w/5000 miles when we bought it.) We have made one long trip with it (about 800 miles with five adults and a dog - no complaints). We are very happy with it so far. I traded in my 10-year old GMC SUV and wanted a large 3-row SUV that can tow. My wife approves of the passenger seat (very important). As the driver, I really liked the adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and rain sensing wipers. The passengers took full advantage of the wifi hotspot. It has plenty of power and the 10-speed transmission is smooth as butter. I do not mind the engine stop/start feature (and it can be turned off). This is a truck based SUV so it does handle like a truck. That is what I wanted but it may not suit everyone. Our gas mileage on the trip was just a bit better than the EPA estimates.

      Unbelievable

by New fan on Thursday, January 14, 2021

First of all, I put on approx. 35,000 miles per year and travel frequently requiring rental vehicles. I've owned a BMW X5 2017, Chevy Tahoe LTZ 2014, 2010 Chevy Traverse LTZ and have driven all of the full sized SUVs at one point via rental or test drive. This one by far is my favorite. The power out of the 3.5 twin turbo is remarkable. It hits max power at at much lower RPM than the Tahoes and has more power and torque to start with. I've pulled a 3500lb boat with it and could hardly notice it was there. I am also 6'3 and can easily access the third row and ride back there for extended periods. One of the only things I would like is maybe a bit larger info screen but it still does a good job. Be sure to test the new 2021 Tahoe, Yukon & maybe even the Armanda (though not really close in comparison for me) and Sequoia is just plain obsolete. The Tahoe's are nice, hate the front end, but unless you upgrade to the 6.2L (which requires premium fuel) you will be back for the Expedition!
